Why we ask more than one AI model

Language models write fluently and with confidence – also when they are wrong. For a quick draft that is fine. For a decision a company has to stand behind, it is not.

One model, one point of view

Every model has its own strengths and blind spots. If you rely on one, you inherit its blind spots without seeing them.

Several models, one comparison

For critical questions we ask several models from different providers and compare their answers. Where they agree, the answer is better supported. Where they disagree, the point is flagged for a person to look at.

  • The best-argued answer is shown first.
  • Disagreements stay visible instead of being hidden.
  • Every answer names its source, so it can be checked.

Rules before questions

Comparing models works best when the question is precise. So we break a task into small checks against clear rules – a regulation, a standard, an internal guideline – instead of asking one open question.

Not for everything

Asking several models costs more than asking one. We use it where a wrong answer is expensive, and use a single, smaller model for routine work. That balance is part of designing an AI system well.
