AI agents with human approval: how they should work in a company
An AI agent is software that does not just answer, but acts: it drafts, sorts, files and prepares. That makes agents useful – and it is why they need clear rules.
Decide the limits first
Before an agent starts, we define with the team what it may do on its own, what it may only prepare, and what always needs a person. Anything that leaves the company – to a client, an authority, the public – goes through human approval.
Small steps, visible work
A good agent works in small, traceable steps. Every change is recorded and can be reviewed or undone. People see what the agent did and why.
Rules the agent must follow
Company rules – style, wording, what may and may not be said – are written down and given to the agent. A second, independent check can review the result against these rules before a person approves it.
- Clear limits on what the agent may do
- Every step recorded and reversible
- Human approval before anything goes out
Relief, not replacement
Agents take on the routine so people can spend time on the work that needs judgement. The responsibility stays with the people who approve.
